Morning in Epcot, Evening at Disney Studios

On this cold brisk day we started with a breakfast at the food court. Bundling up we went straight over to Epcot and got on Mission: Space first thing in the morning. We opted for the more gentle version. Emily seemed to be a bit ambivalent about that one. Walking across to the other side of Future World, we rode Journey Into the Imagination with Figment — Emily loved the exhibits once you get off of the ride. We had lunch at the Sunshine Season Food Fair and rode Living With the land while we were waiting for it to be time to use our Soarin’ fast passes. We all enjoyed the gentle floating feel you get as if you were drifting above California.

We then drove over to Disney MGM Studios. Almost as soon as we got into the park, there was a roaming production of High School Musical that performed in front of the Chinese Theater. Emily loves those movies! Next we went over to the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground. I think Emily would have stayed there for days if they hadn’t closed it at dusk.

Next, it was time for the Osborne Spectacle of Lights. This blew away any of our expectations. The lights are synchronized to music (be sure to check out the video below). They even pumped real snow onto the crowd. Given the temperatures it felt quite “Chritmas-ey.” We had purchased Emily a green Pooh blanket at Epcot, and it really came in handy tonight.
