At this point I would call myself about 50% finished. We are checking our lists for any remaining supplies that are in need of purchasing and any chores in need of being completed. We are adopting the “travel light” philosophy of Rick Steves and many other travelers. It is a bit difficult at first to wrap your mind around having only one carry-on bag for a week, but I think we are managing. I’ll see how much of a good idea this was once we get there. We ended up purchasing convertible carry-on/backpacks (from Rick Steves), and they seem like they will suit our needs, but I still harbor an irrational fear of them popping open in the middle of the street and my only belongings scattering to and fro. 🙂
