In the air… to Atlanta

We are on board Delta 1676 – a Boeing 757 Atlanta bound from BWI.  It’s a fairly full flight.  There are a couple dozen returning Air Force soldiers coming home from Iraq via Germany.  We are sitting with a Corporal Stevens bound home in Florida.  Despite my misgivings about our Commander-in-Chief, my hat goes off to these brave Americans serving around the world, and I salute their services.

Several people on board seem ill with colds.  I took a vitamin and some airborne or germ away product supposed to strengthen the immune system.  Let’s hope it works.

There’s a little over an hour of flight time left and then nearly a four hour layover.  Then of course there’s the 9.5 hour flight to Prague.  Corporal Stevens mentioned drizzle in Germany — not sure what part of Germany though.  At this point I feel like sleeping on the next leg of the flight will not be difficult.
