Cruising around the world at Epcot

Today we had breakfast yet again at the hotel food court, and we headed to Epcot for our last day at Walt Disney World. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peak at the revamped Spaceship Earth ride. It has much of the same feel as the old one, but it has been modernized. Some clever photography and computer programming also allows you to take part in the ride as well. We went to the new Nemo adventure in the Living Seas exhibit and looked around some of the aquarium exhibits. Next we went over to Mexico and road the revamped El Rio del Tiempo boat cruise within the Mexico Pavilion — Donald Duck is now the star of this ride. Next we went over to Norway and road the Maelstrom and had lunch in the Norway pavilion.

At this point it was time to use our fast passes for Test Track. We took the Friendship boat back across the lagoon to Future World. Emily absolutely LOVED Test Track. Be sure to check out the video highlights below. This was followed by a boat back across the lagoon and watching the China movie in their pavilion. We slowly made our way around the rest of the showcase stopping here and there where our interest was peaked.

Rain began to fall as we neared the France so we headed for the restaurant we had reservations for: Bistro de Paris. Once we were shown inside, Emily fell in love with French food (she had some simple pasta with tomato sauce and chicken fingers, but to her it was a culinary experience without parallel). She loved the decor of the restaurant also. After we ate we went to see the France movie, which she also enjoyed. She asked for a French flag which she clung to the rest of the night.

We stopped in the UK exhibit to listen to Beatlemania (a tribute band). Emily danced along and waved her flag around. On the way out we purchased her a balloon ball and rode Spaceship Earth a couple more times. Going back to the room we packed up our stuff and enjoyed some pastries we had purchsed in the French pavillion.
