We started at the Churchill War Rooms \u2013 you could almost feel the presence of the great man striding those halls during the Blitz. We followed this by Westminster Abbey. This was the most awe-inspiring part of my trip. The reverence of the place was palpable. Walking by the tombs of Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots, you think about them resting in their eternal slumber so near to each other. You see the coronation chair. This hallowed spot has for centuries been the focus of England during her times of joy and her times of grief. Light a candle if you go, and think of those no longer with you.  For me, my thoughts could not drift far from my father.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3204\/2742508627_69ddd10499_m.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"View From Our Hotel\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3038\/2743346144_af34193a02_m.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"Churchill War Rooms\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3130\/2743346348_af92d0e6a7_m.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"Churchill War Rooms\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2401\/2742509307_e8b3b6e5d9_m.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"Westminster Abbey\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3087\/2742509593_25a477247e_m.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"Westminster Abbey\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3082\/2743347086_c77942b60f_m.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"Westminster Abbey\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3011\/2743347304_705dd6241d_m.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"Spam-a-lot\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_10_1_1_1390357893350_267729\">After all of the introspection, the evening called for a bit of a release for our final evening. We attended another theatre production, this time Monty Python\u2019s Spam-a-lot. This show is one laugh after another. It\u2019s also playing on Broadway, so check it out at either venue.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_10_1_1_1390357893350_267732\">Tomorrow we\u2019ll take a taxi to Paddington and the train to Heathrow.
