We are checking our lists for any remaining supplies that are in need of purchasing and any chores in need of being completed.  We are adopting the &#8220;travel light&#8221; philosophy of Rick Steves and many other travelers.  It is a bit difficult at first to wrap your mind around having only one carry-on bag for a week, but I think we are managing.  I&#8217;ll see how much of a good idea this was once we get there.  We ended up purchasing convertible carry-on\/backpacks (from Rick Steves), and they seem like they will suit our needs, but I still harbor an irrational fear of them popping open in the middle of the street and my only belongings scattering to and fro.  \ud83d\ude42<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At this point I would call myself about 50% finished.
